On 7/20/1976 Abu Qir Fertilizers Company was established under Ministerial Resolution No. 374 of 1976 in accordance with Law No. 60 of 1971 and Law No. 111 of 1975.On 4/20/1980, the company was licensed to establish the company as an Egyptian joint stock company according to the decision of the Minister of Economy, Foreign Trade and International Cooperation No. 107 of 1980 in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 43 of 1974. The company was subject to the provisions of Law No. 97 of 1983. In 1996, the efficiency of the ammonia plant in Abu Qir 1 was increased to increase the productivity from 1000 tons / day to 1100 tons / day and then to 1150 tons / day in 2012.. in 1998, the Abu Qir plant (3) was operated to produce granulated urea fertilizer with a production capacity of 1750 tons / day and then increase the efficiency of the plant to achieve 1925 tons / day. In 2004, the urea magnesium fertilizer was produced at the Abu Qir 3 plant. In 2004, the urea sulfate fertilizer was produced at the Abu Qir 3 plant.
